Michael Haaß: I planned to make holidays with my wife in Cape Town. I was curious and looked up in the internet: Cape Town, South Africa and Handball. One of the first matches was the handball project of Nicola Scholl (Play Handball/Red.). I read about it and found it directly amazing and a very commendable dedication. The 1st climate-neutral handball tournament series in South Africa is aiming to reach out with sport to the youth, bring kids from various schools and cultural backgrounds together and to educate them at the same time about the environment. PLAY HANDBALL ZA hosted the 1st PLAY HANDBALL SuperCup on the 24th of April 2016, 9am-5pm at the German International School in Tamboerskloof, Cape Town. Over 600 youth in twenty-two youth teams in three age categories from Cape Town up to Franschhoek participated in this educational tournament; the groups were Primary School Mix U14, High School Girls U16 and High School Boys U 16.
