After about one and a half years it is finally time again! Since the beginning of October, new volunteers with the weltwärts program are again on site at schools in Kenya and South Africa. “We are very happy that volunteers can support us again and that we are also allowed to resume work at the schools after the governments have relaxed the Corona restrictions,” says Nicola Scholl.

The corona pandemic also had a firm grip on the sports landscape and thus Play Handball last year. Hardly anything was possible on the playing fields, but in the background, things continued to swirl. With success. The professional preparation of Weltwärts volunteers from Germany for their assignment in Africa, the training of PlayHandball coaches in South Africa and Kenya and the international youth encounter are central points of the partnership for us,” said Sascha Steltenkamp from HVSH.
