A long weekend with discussion, reflexion and fun

The weltwärts volunteers had their midterm-seminar last weekend. The volunteers Maximilian and Laura are in South Africa since 6 month. Last weekend they met with the Play Handball director Nicola and project-coordinator Simphiwe to share their experiences so far.

Friday they drove to Napier. The country house was a good place to speak intensively about various topics. Max and Laura gained because of their different communities different experiences. Both of them had challenges. During the weekend they shared and tried to solve the challenges. Moreover the team discussed how to optimise the volunteer service. All in all the weekend was very constructive. To have some fun as well, they were at the beach Saturday afternoon and a teambuilding action in the climbing gym on Monday. Simphiwe and Max were climbing for the first time and really enjoyed the new experience. Not just during climbing, but the whole weekend the team gathered experiences. The end of the seminar was the partner-meeting on Monday afternoon, where Play Handball discussed with their partners about actual and future projects. Now Play Handball is looking forward to reach their aims for 2020.

You can find here a video from the weekend.
